SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPTS
Manuscripts relevant to any aspect of Indo Caribbean Research are invited. Contributions from any country are acceptable and could be international or national in scope. Manuscripts can be written dealing with a specific discipline or with a multi-disciplinary view. Reviews and research papers are especially welcome. Essays and special issues will also be published. New writers will be encouraged. All manuscripts, queries about potential submissions and letters to the editor-in-chief should be sent to:

ORIGINALITY OF ARTICLES
Submission of a manuscript to the Journal of Indo Caribbean Research represents a certification on the part of the author(s) that it is an original work, and that neither this manuscript nor a version of it has been published elsewhere nor it is being considered for publication elsewhere.
FORM OF SUBMISSIONS
Typescript Two copies of each manuscript must be submitted. The typescript should be double-spaced throughout and typed on one side of the paper only. The minimum font size used for the typescript should be 12 points. Two sets of illustrations are required but only one of these need be suitable for reproduction.
Language English is the preferred language of publication. Papers of exceptional quality in other languages may be accepted only if they are accompanied by an extensive abstract in English.
Manuscript Length Manuscripts normally should not exceed 25 double-spaced typed pages, although articles with content justifying greater length will be considered.
Style and Preparation References, citations, and general style of manuscripts for the Journal of Indo Caribbean Research should follow the Chicago Manual of Style, current edition.
Additional Notes on References These should appear at the end of the manuscript and follow the Chicago Manual of Style. Note that all sources for references, quotations, interviews, etc. cited in the manuscript must be properly documented. In each instance enough information must be provided for a reader to locate the cited reference with ease. Incomplete manuscripts will be returned to the author.
Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation The author is responsible for preparing a manuscript in an acceptable, scholarly language, preferably English. The manuscript must contain no errors of spelling, grammar, or punctuation. Neither the editor nor the publisher is responsible for correcting errors of spelling or grammar. The manuscript, after acceptance by the Editor, must be immediately ready for typesetting as it is finally submitted by the author(s).
Preparation of Tables, Figures and Illustrations All tables, figures, illustrations, etc. must be camera-ready. They must be professionally typed or cartographically prepared so that they can be used either exactly as they are or else used after a reduction in size.
Units of Measurement. The metric system is required for all measurements.
REVIEW POLICY All submissions to the Journal of Indo Caribbean Research are subject to peer review. Each manuscript meeting the submission guidelines will be promptly reviewed by at least two referees. Referees will not know the identity of the author(s) nor will the author(s) be given the identity of the reviewers.
ACCEPTANCE OF MANUSCRIPTS If a manuscript is accepted for publication, copyright ownership is automatically and officially given to the Journal of Indo Caribbean Research. Manuscripts not meeting copyright requirements for publication purposes will be assessed a prepayment charge of $35.00 per page. Upon publication each author will receive one copy of the Journal in which the manuscript appears. Additional copies can be purchased from JICR.
BOOK REVIEWS Books relevant to Indo Caribbean issues are welcome for review and should to be sent to Dr. V.C. Lakhan. Books are not returnable.
